Beyond their size, small businesses are defined by their spirit. And at the helm are their intrepid founders—scrappy, ambitious, and resilient. They invent and build things despite uncertainty, because it’s what drives them. Their risks lead to innovation that moves the world forward. And we need them.
AVOID this place. I dropped off my Sprinter van off at Laguna Niguel Auto Center / Elite Sprinter Repair to be assessed and was told the fee was $270. Okay, great I'll give this shop a try and see how it goes. I arrange to drop it off first thing the next morning. Later that day after dropping it off, around 11am, Arron calls me at tells me about issues found and pricing to fix. A total service quote was nearly $6,000. I prefer person to person to get the info I need. Once there Arron is just a little snot to me. He treated me so disrespectfully. All I did was stop in and ask if he could explain pricing. And I asked Arron very respectfully with no attitude at all. He grumbled, "You could have called; you don't just drop in unannounced!", very disrespectfully with an attitude as if he was disgusted that I was there. He said "I knew you were going to be one of those kinds of guys” not even looking at me in the eye. I really should have taken my Sprinter van at that point. He was so out of line in the way he was acting. A real little drama queen. But thinking more about how I was treated by Arron during that visit, it just rubbed me the wrong way. So, I decided to stop in first thing the next business day and pick up my van as I was told they couldn't start work on it till Monday. When I got there first thing Monday, Arron was not there yet and I spoke to the mechanic Tommy who was again very nice. Tommy said they had not started working on my van yet. And again, I had been told previously by Arron that parts were not coming in till the end of the pervious working day and they could not start anything till Monday morning. When Arron got there that Monday morning, I told Aaron I'd like to take my van, again he became short and snotty with me. He lied and said "You can't take your van we've already taken the wheel speed sensor out and work has begun". I told him, no that is not true, that is not what Tommy (the mechanic) just told me. Not only is Arron a liar, but he was very disrespectful and was making other snotty comments that you would never say to a customer. Mike the owner was also very rude to me for wanting to take my van. You know what they say; “The fish stinks at the head”. Now the pricing. They quoted me $270 for an assessment, that is what I ultimately paid them for the clown show in their front office, and the work by mechanic Tommy. The assessment probably took them less than 1hr total. That’s fine, they got overhead and employees to pay. Prices quoted for repair work…. They told me I needed a new Wheel Speed Sensor (a part I can buy retail for $50, not OEM per se but the same Hungarian maker ATE who makes the OEM Mercedes ones). They wanted $210.79 for the non-OEM sensor and $405 labor, for a total of $632.13. The labor on this is probably less than 1hr total. They also told me I needed a new ABS control module, and the cost for that was going to be $4800 for and OEM replacement. So $270 assessment, $623.13 wheel speed sensor, and $4,800 ABS control module. Total $5,693.13/ The outcome. I took the van home and posting on a FaceBook group, I was told to pull the sensor and check its condition and clean out the hole it goes into. That it could be damaged or it could have metallic debris on it, or the tone ring cover inside the hub, that the sensor is somewhat magnetic and can collect metallic debris like a magnet can, and also the tone ring cover in the hub as well. So, without lifting the vehicle or taking off the wheel I pulled the sensor, I noticed it had a bit of metallic debris on it. I clean it up, vacuumed out the hole it inserts into. Took me a total of maybe 15 DIY minutes and it’s been working great ever since, 3 months now, and all dash warning lights have disappeared, including the ABS braking symptoms. Saved myself $5,423.13. Never again Elite Sprinter. I will be going to the MBLN or Star Automotive in San Juan, they work on Sprinters and I have heard good things about.
I recently visited LN Auto Center for some work on my BMW. They replaced a starter and battery along with a routine oil change and brake fluid flush. Overall, I had a really positive experience. The staff were friendly and attentive. They kept me informed throughout the process with frequent update calls. The quality of work was excellent and my car is running smoothly once again. The technician, Brandon, was very knowledgeable and skilled. I'd definitely recommend this service center for their professionalism and quality of work. I'll come back (but hopefully not too soon) again.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!! These are bunch of incompetent bait and switch people who will lure you in with phony low estimates then fleece you - you’re much better off going to a dealer for at least you’ll get a competent mechanic. Go elsewhere. You have been warned.
Rren and his staff take excellent care of their customers! My husband is VERY particular about his car and would only take it to a Mitsubishi dealership. After a few very bad experiences with the one is Costa Mesa we decided to look for another shop. After reading reviews online we tried Laguna Niguel Auto Center and haven't looked back. They do a fantastic job and have very reasonable prices. This is a very quality operation with honest people. I am so happy we made the switch!
What a GREAT service center with a super Staff! We were on a trip in the area when the service engine light came on. We were so fortunate to find their ad for GM service. Our vehicle was under warranty. When we called they were extremely helpful and told us to bring it by any time. They got right to checking it out and made sure we were comfortable while waiting. They were completely honest - told us it was something very minor and they refused to charge us for their time. Their new location is easy to get to, has good parking and a sparkling clean waiting area. Our daughter lives in the area, this will be her Service Center from now on!
